About Kiran Kaur
I am new Vancouverite and I am in love with this city. Though, there are million reasons why I feel grateful to live here but one of my favorites is that I can spend my time at beaches. I miss my mom’s home-made cooking, but luckily, Vancouver have no short supply of Indian Restaurants. But I haven’t found authentic Indian Pizza yet… any suggestions?
I was born and raised in Northern India, Amritsar. I started my artistic journey at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar and graduated in Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts. Then, I continued my education working on my masters degree in History of Arts in Punjab University, Chandigarh before moving to Canada to pursue my true love, photography.
I have had the pleasure of being personally mentored by world-renowned photographers at Lasalle college, where I spent last year studying an intensive photography course.
How I Work?
I think it’s important to have a personal connection with the clients I shoot and enjoy meeting them for coffee beforehand to plan and talk about the shoot. I like to think of my clients as my friends and think it makes a difference in the images.
Photography is more than hobby and career for me. At this point it’s something that I can’t live without. It makes me feel alive..!
